Palestinian President Abbas to Meet Putin on Tuesday: TASS

Palestinian President

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas will meet with Russian President Putin, who is visiting Russia, state news agency TASS said.

Abbas landed in Russia on Monday to discuss the Gaza battle with Russian President Vladimir Putin, according to a Palestinian ambassador.

The Palestinian envoy in Moscow told Russia’s state-run TASS news agency that Abbas will come on Monday and meet with Putin on Tuesday.

For years, Moscow attempted to strike a balance with all of the Middle East’s key powers, including Israel and Palestine.

Since the Israel-Hamas conflict and Russia’s attack on Ukraine, Putin has grown closer to Israel’s adversaries, Hamas and Iran.

The Kremlin has frequently denounced Israel’s reaction to the October 7 assaults and urged calm. supernews
