KARACHI — On Monday, Pakistan will observe Eidul Adha 2024, with Muslims offering animal sacrifices to honor Hazrat Ibrahim’s Sunnah.

Many people kill the animals themselves, while others engage a qasai or butcher. Professional Qasai rates exceed those of seasonal butchers.

According to the Pakistani Observer, professional Qasai fees for cows range between Rs 15,000 and Rs 30,000.

Professional Qasai Rates for Eid-ul-Adha 2024 in Karachi

Professional Qasais or butchers charge Rs20,000 to Rs30,000 for the Qurbani of a cow or bull, depending on the animal’s weight.

Their costs for goats and lambs range from Rs5,000 to Rs7,000, while camels cost between Rs35,000 and Rs40,000.

Non-professional Qasai rates for Eid-ul-Adha 2024 in Karachi

Due to a scarcity of professional butchers, customers are turning to non-professionals, resulting in large fee discrepancies. Non-professional Qasais charge prices ranging from Rs10,000 to Rs14,000 for cows or bulls, depending on customer discussions.

They charge between Rs3,000 and Rs4,000 for sheep or goats.
