Karachi: A westerly wave is affecting the country’s higher regions. Another strong westerly may sweep across much of the nation on April 13th (today) and last until April 15th, according to the meteorological authority.
Today, the westerly system will enter the country’s southern and western regions.
Some regions of Karachi are expected to experience rain with thunderstorms today. “The wet spell is likely to continue for two days,” according to the weather prediction.
Rain-wind/thunderstorms are likely in Sukkur, Jacobabad, Kashmore, Larkana, Dadu, Qambar-Shahdad Kot, Jamshoro, and Sanghar districts on April 13th and 14th. However, sporadic rain, wind, and thunderstorms are likely in Karachi and Hyderabad around this time.
The Met Office earlier stated that a westerly wave will hit the higher sections of the nation on April 10th, followed by another strong westerly wave on April 12th, which may hold much of the country on April 13th and linger until April 15th.
The weather system will deliver extensive rain over the country, including Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and Punjab.
