Sania Zehra’s case reached the Punjab Police Inspector General (IG) and Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz in a preliminary report.
Authorities have confirmed through a statistical report that Sania Zehra committed suicide.
According to a police spokeswoman, the post-mortem investigation found no traces of domestic abuse or bruises on Sania Zehra’s body, and she died as a result of strangulation from a rope.
The investigation involved a detailed evaluation of Sania Zehra’s body, and investigators collected evidence from various sections for thorough analysis. There were no shattered bones or other symptoms.
On July 09, 2024, authorities discovered Sania Zehra dead at her in-law’s residence, hanging from a ceiling fan.
Meanwhile, the dead woman’s relatives made significant claims, stating that her abrupt death was not suicide but rather an alleged murder and accusing her husband of barbaric torture over a property conflict.
