Commissioner Rawalpindi Liaqat Ali Chatha made a surprising confession, saying, “I accept responsibility for rigging the election 2024.”

As political tensions in the nation continue to escalate, with various parties, notably the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), claiming fraud in the February 8 votes, Rawalpindi Division Commissioner Liaquat Ali Chatta resigned on Saturday in protest of voting irregularities.

Chatta resigned today during a news conference at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, claiming that he had done harm to the people of Rawalpindi Division.

He stated that “rigging” occurred in Rawalpindi Division and accepted responsibility for it.

“We convert the losers into winners with 50,000 votes margin,” he stated before surrendering to the authorities.
