Pink bus routes starting April 19

Sharjeel Inam Memon, Sindh Minister for Transport and Mass Transit, has launched two new Pink People’s Bus Service routes in Karachi.

The Pink Bus Service is now operating on R1 between Model Colony Malir and Tower via Shahrah-e-Faisal.

Sharjeel Memon presided over the meeting to examine plans for the inauguration of new transportation projects in Karachi and Mirpurkhas.

The committee resolved to start two new Pink Bus Service routes in Karachi on April 19.

Another R10 will be charged for the Peoples Pink Bus Service (for women only), which will depart at Numaish Chowrangi and travel via M.A Jinnah Road, Zaibunissa Street, Metropol, Do Talwar, Teen Talwar, Mazar e Abdullah Shah Ghazi, Dolman Mall, and Sea View clock tower.

Furthermore, the conference voted to establish the People’s Bus Service in Mirpurkhas on April 20.

To help commuters, Memon said that a cashless automated fare collecting smart card service would be deployed on April 25.

Earlier, on March 18, the minister announced additional Pink Bus Service routes and the opening of the People’s Bus Service in Mirpurkhas following Eidul Fitr.

On February 1, the Sindh government introduced the ‘first-ever’ Pink Peoples Bus Service in Karachi, which is exclusively for women.
