‘Missing’ Saudi woman, Pakistani guy located in Karachi

KARACHI: A Saudi lady who went missing in Pakistan and was reported abducted to the police has been located in Karachi living with her suspected abductor, a young Pakistani male who has been arrested by the police.

The woman had traveled in the Lower Dir region of KP province to pay a visit to a local guy who had served as her driver in Saudi Arabia. They went missing shortly later, and a FIR was filed in Islamabad. It accused Abdul Wahid, a Pakistani man, of kidnapping a Saudi person.

An investigator informed media that they tracked down the Saudi woman and the accused kidnapper using the location of their mobile phones.

The locations changed many times, suggesting that the two was in Sindh’s Larkana area before moving on to Karachi, according to the investigator.

He said they were discovered staying in a Karachi guest home.

Rukhsar Mehdi, an SP with Pakistan’s Crime Investigation Agency, told BBC Urdu that the couple had been seized in Karachi and were being transported back to Islamabad.
