Karachi: Robbery events kill four lives in a single day; death toll hits 60

Four civilians, including Coast Guard Major Saad and a security guard, were slain during robbery resistance in Karachi, bringing the total number of individuals killed in robbery resistance events to 60 since the beginning of 2024.

The culprit fled the site region after snatching Rs10.30 million, making this one of the largest robbery events in the SITE area. Two poultry farm employees, Sher Alam and Zakir, were assassinated while they were about to deposit a large sum of money from the office to the bank.

The accused escaped after stealing the money.

SSP Kemari Faizan Ali said that the dacoits shot and murdered a security guard at the Gharibabad underpass.

When the accused got off the motorcycle and entered a neighboring street, the security guard attempted to apprehend him.

On March 31, Major Saad of the Coast Guard died while being treated for injuries sustained during the robbery resistance in the Sher Shah region.

Separately, in Orangi Town’s Farid Colony, three suspects broke into a home and murdered Jamrali Shah.

Following the incident, residents in the Karimi Chowrangi area of Sarjani town apprehended the bandit and reported him to the police.
