Karachi inter board announces examinations from 1st June 2024

Board of Intermediate Education Karachi

Naseem Ahmed Memon, chairman of the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi, addressed a news conference to announce the start of annual examinations on June 1.

He listed numerous essential measures to ensure the seamless and fair administration of examinations throughout Sindh, with a special emphasis on Karachi.

Memon stated that the tests will be held in two shifts across all divisions of Sindh, with 180 examination centres constructed in Karachi alone. Over 200,000 applicants are scheduled to take part in these national examinations.

Section 144 will be imposed around test venues to ensure order and security, and it has been decided to take mobile phones to prevent cheating.

“Rangers staff will be posted outside sensitive examination centres to ensure security,” Memon said, underlining the significance of a safe and conducive examination atmosphere.

In reaction to the extreme heat wave forecast for the exam period, the chairman stated that extra health precautions had been implemented. Medical personnel will be present at examination centres, and for the first time, pupils will be given energy supplements to avoid malnutrition. Painkillers, anti-allergy drugs, glucose, vitamin C, and mineral water are all free, he noted. In addition, ambulances will be stationed outside the centers to treat any emergencies.

Memon emphasized that test centers have only been established at universities with suitable infrastructure to handle a significant number of students. He stated that ongoing efforts are being made to improve examination arrangements and provide a friendly atmosphere for pupils.

Memon addressed concerns regarding the quality of materials used, stating that the paper now used for tests has been found to be carcinogenic. He guaranteed that the situation had been addressed and that the Rangers had taken over the protection of the Interboard.

In conclusion, Chairman Naseem Ahmed Memon reaffirmed the board’s commitment to administering fair and secure tests while protecting students’ health and well-being during this difficult time.
