Illegal inter-city bus stations will be removed, as told by Commissioner Karachi Syed Hassan Naqvi, who ordered action against ‘illegal’ inter-city bus stations that are generating trouble for other motorists and causing traffic bottlenecks.
Commissioner Karachi, who presided over the hearing, urged the authorities to take action against these unlawful intercity bus stations within two weeks.
Cantt, Taj Complex, Muhammad Ali (MA) Jinnah Road, and Al-Karam are among the bus stops that have been designated for demolition. The operation will be carried out with deputy commissioners, district police, and traffic officers.
Intercity buses will be permitted to operate from Karachi Bus Terminal, Superhighway. Meanwhile, a new shuttle service will be launched to help travellers. – supernews.pk
