KARACHI: The Inspector General (IG) Sindh on Thursday urged police personnel, particularly in Karachi zones, to intensify patrols in their respective regions to safeguard the safety of civilians during the holy month of Ramadan.

The IG Sindh held a conference to review and deliberate methods to safeguard residents’ safety during the approaching holy month of Ramadan.

The Inspector General of Sindh encouraged all officials, particularly those in charge of Karachi’s several zones, to step up patrol operations.

The goal is to increase alertness and dissuade possible criminal activity, particularly in the context of street crimes, which typically surge during Ramadan.

The Inspector General of Sindh recommended that snap-checking operations be enhanced in order to deter street crime and provide prompt reactions to any suspicious activity.

IG Sindh emphasized the significance of collaborating with all stakeholders across sectors to provide a complete security and traffic management strategy during the holy month.

In light of this, IG Sindh has asked for a collaborative effort to develop an outstanding traffic management system that prioritizes people’s safety.

To strengthen security measures throughout the holy month, the Inspector General proposed assigning additional tasks to police commandos to efficiently preserve law and order.
