FBR – The Federal Board of Revenue has imposed a 10% withholding tax (WHT) on all wedding halls in Karachi, according to sources on Friday.
Rana Raees, President of the Wedding Halls Association, announced this decision following a detailed meeting with FBR officials. During the meeting, it was agreed that a 10% withholding tax would apply to marriage halls in Karachi.
Raees explained that wedding hall owners would collect this tax from their clients. He further clarified that the decision aligns with directives from FBR officials.
Additionally, he stated that wedding hall owners would pay the 10% withholding tax on top of the rental charges. Raees urged customers to be aware of these FBR policies when booking wedding halls.
