According to reports, educational establishments may close on Sunday, February 4, for Kashmir Day on February 5, and would stay closed during the election period, which runs from February 6 to 10.
The closure would stretch until Sunday, February 11, with a projected reopening on February 12.
Notably, February is likely to have two public holidays: one on February 5 for Kashmir Day and one on February 8 for the general elections.
It is important to remember that these stories have yet to be formally validated by the relevant authorities.
Earlier indications suggested that educational institutions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) would close from February 7 to 9 in anticipation of the upcoming elections.
While officials are thought to have finalized the decision, a formal announcement is expected in the first week of February. Local authorities may also propose extending the vacations in response to changing conditions.
