DHA City Karachi

DHA City Karachi, with the help of the Sindh government, has announced the commencement of an Electric Bus (EV Bus) Service, which would begin operations on May 23, 2024. This effort is a key step toward a more sustainable future for the DHA City neighborhood, providing people of the neighboring Goths and industrial regions with a comfortable and economical way to commute to downtown.

The first phase will include two EV buses that will travel daily at 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. along approved routes from Sohrab Goth to DHA City Karachi. The buses will stop at significant areas including as Al Asif Square, Jamali Bridge, Maymar Mor, New Sabzi Mandi, Baqai University, Karachi Toll Plaza, Dumba Goth, Bahria Town Karachi, and Kathore.

The introduction of EV buses not only aims to reduce the community’s carbon footprint but also provides a dependable and eco-friendly transportation option for daily commuters. The phased launch allows for a measured approach, with plans to increase the number of buses based on ridership and positive feedback. This initiative demonstrates DHA City Karachi’s commitment to enhancing livability and promoting environmental responsibility.
