Zulfiqar Ahmed, CEO of Cola Next, who was kidnapped in Karachi on July 23, has called family members after five days missing. His lawyer, Ali Ashfaq, has verified that Zulfiqar is safe and will be back home.

In the meantime, police said that the vanishing businessman has since returned home.

Ali Ashfaq contacted Zulfiqar Ahmed’s father, Haji Riaz Ahmed, who was now in Saudi Arabia, and verified that his son would soon return home safely. This contact has brought much-needed relief to the family, which has been eagerly expecting news since the kidnapping.
Syed Asad Raza, Karachi DIG (South), verified that Ahmed had arrived at his residence in Lahore.

On July 23, eight armed men in a double cabin vehicle allegedly seized Zulfiqar Ahmed. His wife had petitioned the Sindh High Court for his return after the police reportedly refused to hear her appeal to launch a kidnapping complaint. The event, which occurred on Mauripur Road in Karachi, shocked both the business community and the general population. The manager of Zulfiqar Ahmed’s textile business, where he was last seen, filed a case, according to the police.

According to the FIR, Zulfiqar Ahmed and his friend Qaiser were driving to Clifton when a car with no license plate stopped them on Mauripur Road. Armed people pushed the two guys into their car. After going some distance, the kidnappers freed Ahmed’s buddy but kept Zulfiqar Ahmed with them. The plaintiff said Ahmed’s mobile phone had been off since the event.

Two senior workers from Zulfiqar Ahmed’s factory kidnapped a day earlier, were found. The company’s management acknowledged that they had had conversations with Atif Afzal and Ameer Nawaz, two senior employees. Both staff have been certified as safe and are anticipated to be back soon. supernews
