As the holy month of Ramadan approaches, the Establishment Division has established office hours for federal government employees throughout the holy month.
According to a notification published by the Establishment Division, working hours at federal government institutions will be 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., five days a week. It said that office hours for six working days a week would be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
On Friday, the working hours of federal government offices will be 9 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.
Earlier on Thursday, the Balochistan administration established office hours in the provincial capital, Quetta.
According to the announcement, regular office hours for government offices will begin at 9 a.m. and end at 3 p.m., allowing staff to complete their job by early afternoon. Office hours will be cut even more on Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
For offices open six days a week, the new Ramadan hours will be 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on ordinary days; however, on Fridays, these offices will close earlier, at noon.
