Regular classes in all educational institutions will resume on January 1, 2025 (Wednesday). The Sindh Education Department announced this decision following a steering committee meeting of the Sindh School Education Department, with an official notification expected in the coming days.
Winter Holidays Schedule for Schools
The Punjab government plans to announce winter vacations in December due to smog and cold weather. However, the Private Schools Association has opposed the extended break.
The president of the All Pakistan Private Schools Association expressed concerns, arguing that prolonged summer vacations, smog, and protests have already disrupted the academic session. He proposed a shorter holiday period from January 1 to January 10, instead of the suggested 23 days.
