Prices for vegetables and pulses have risen, with tomatoes costing between 200 and 250 rupees per kilogram. Locals encouraged the government to stabilize prices and reduce the financial strain on people.

Buyers voiced dismay at the excessive pricing, with even mash dal costing 540 rupees a kilogram, making it increasingly difficult for households to buy what they need.
Potatoes and onions are also seeing significant price increases, ranging from 120 to 150 rupees per kilogram. Other pulses, such as masoor dal, are priced at 280 rupees per kg and chana dal at 340 rupees per kg, increasing the financial burden on customers. – supernews
