Pakistan’s government, with support from the World Bank, is set to launch a National Data Exchange Layer (NDEL) this year to enhance cybersecurity as part of its broader “Pakistan Stack” strategy.
Federal Minister for IT & Telecom, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, said that the initiative will strengthen data sharing across departments, safeguard sensitive information, and support secure identity verification.
The government also aims to move its data to the cloud, reinforcing both digital service delivery and cyber-defence capabilities.
