Anthropic Launches Claude 4.5 With Smarter AI for Business

Anthropic Launches Claude 4.5

Anthropic launches Claude 4.5, the company’s most advanced AI model to date, introducing stronger coding abilities, improved scientific reasoning, and a sharper focus on business users.

Backed by Alphabet and Amazon, Anthropic is stepping up competition in the enterprise AI space. The company highlighted that Claude 4.5 is designed to reliably operate software, perform multi-step workflows, and deliver long, uninterrupted coding sessions — key traits for AI agents that can independently complete tasks for human users.

In internal testing, the Sonnet 4.5 version successfully built a complete web application from scratch. A client also reported that Claude 4.5 autonomously coded for 30 hours straight, a dramatic jump from the seven-hour benchmark achieved by the earlier Claude Opus 4.

According to Chief Product Officer Mike Krieger, Anthropic is now targeting power users and enterprise customers rather than chasing viral consumer buzz.

The new release also boosts technical reasoning. On benchmarks measuring computer operation skills, Claude 4.5 scored 60%, up from around 40% in earlier versions. This positions it as one of the most capable enterprise AI systems available today.

“It’s eye-opening to watch Claude 4.5 interact with a computer the way a person would — especially for those who aren’t programmers,” remarked Chief Science Officer Jared Kaplan.

The model has been built with safety guardrails to reduce risky or harmful outputs, making it attractive for regulated sectors like finance, healthcare, and data-driven industries.

Adding to its momentum, Microsoft revealed that Anthropic’s models will power new Microsoft 365 Copilot features, including:

This partnership reflects Microsoft’s strategy to diversify its AI ecosystem beyond its long-standing collaboration with OpenAI.

Founded by ex-OpenAI executives, Anthropic has consistently positioned Claude as a dependable AI for the workplace. With Claude 4.5, the company says its mission is to deliver sustained, reliable performance over long tasks, prioritizing professional use cases instead of short demo moments.
