Syed Murad Ali Shah, Chief Minister of Sindh, officially kicked off the countdown for the 35th edition of the 35th National Games to be held in Karachi from December 6–13.
The ceremony, held at the iconic Mazar‑e‑Quaid, involved the lighting and passing of the torch, symbolising the beginning of Pakistan’s major multi-sport event.
Murad Ali Shah stressed that Karachi has a historic role in hosting national sports events, and the government is determined to deliver a world-class experience for the athletes and spectators alike.
The Games will bring together thousands of athletes across 34 sports disciplines and will be held across 24 venues in Karachi.
