Registration opened on January 14, 2026 for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games ticket draw, giving fans around the world a first opportunity to secure a chance to purchase tickets for the historic LA28 Olympics and Paralympics. This first step in the ticketing process requires prospective attendees to register online for free, after which they will be entered into a randomised draw for a time slot to buy tickets during scheduled ticket drops later this year.
The registration period runs through March 18, 2026, and participants who complete registration will be notified by email between March 31 and April 7, 2026 if they are assigned a purchase time slot for Drop 1, which is scheduled from April 9–19. Tickets for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, as well as many sport sessions, will be included in this initial release. Prices start at $28, with a significant portion priced affordably to encourage widespread participation.
In addition to the global draw, there is a special early purchase window (April 2–6, 2026) for residents of certain Southern California counties and parts of Oklahoma who register by the March deadline, offering them an enhanced chance to secure tickets before general sales begin. Full public sales will continue beyond Drop 1 as additional ticket waves are released, and Paralympic Games tickets will go on sale in 2027.
