Three women — a 52-year-old mother, her 19-year-old daughter, and a 22-year-old daughter-in-law — were found dead inside their flat in the Gulshan-i-Iqbal area of Karachi on Sunday evening. A 30-year-old man, part of the same household, was discovered unconscious at the scene.
Police report no signs of forced entry, visible wounds or indications of violence. Initial investigations have ruled out a gas leak as the cause of death. Authorities have detained the family’s patriarch for questioning; the unconscious man remains under observation until he regains consciousness and can provide his account.
