Two terrorists were murdered in a suicide attack on a foreign national convoy near the Mansehra Colony stop in Karachi’s Landhi region. Two security officers and a bystander were among those hurt.

According to officials, the attack was directed at a vehicle carrying foreign nationals. In a statement, the Sindh Inspector General of Police verified that the convoy included five foreigners, all of whom fled unscathed.

The Japanese survivors have been taken to a secure location in police custody, according to police spokesperson Abrar Hussain Baloch.

The incident occurred when the convoy was passing past the Malir Sharafi Goth police station precincts. Witnesses reported hearing a loud explosion, followed by shooting. Police and rescue teams rushed quickly to the site, transporting the injured to Jinnah Hospital for treatment.

Police officers at the scene confirmed that one of the fatalities was a suicide bomber, while the other attacker was killed by police fire. The fatalities were said to be 30 and 35 years old, while the injured security guards were named as Noor Muhammad and Langar Khan, both 45.

According to hospital authorities, all three victims received gunshot wounds. Noor later died during treatment.

A police representative supplied more information, noting that when law enforcement officers heard the explosion, they promptly reacted. When a terrorist equipped with a rifle and grenades saw the police, he opened fire, resulting in a brief exchange of gunfire. The gunman was eventually eliminated by the police’s retaliatory shot aimed at his head.

One of the police officers who responded quickly to the blasts claims to have been close and heard the detonation. After a few seconds, they could hear gunfire. “A terrorist was found hiding under the dirt and slain. “He had a rifle, two magazines, and a bag of grenades,” the official said.

The targeted convoy consisted of two cars, one of which had a foreign citizen identified as the managing director of a firm, while the second van carried four additional foreign people, according to the official.

A police officer stated that fingerprints were being taken to identify the killed terrorist using the police Talaash app and NADRA. He further stated that the police had found a black bag from the terrorists carrying hand grenades.

“The crime scene unit discovered three guns, a magazine, two grenades, a tear gas shell, and a container of fuel on the site. The terrorists utilized a black 70-cc motorbike registered in Salman Masih’s name and with the address Kala Pul. He said that the motorcycle’s model year is 2012.

DIG (East) Azfar Mahesar told the media that the bomb disposal squad team will investigate the nature of the incident, which seemed to be a targeted strike. He stated a motorbike was discovered at the scene, and that one of the assailants was killed in a confrontation, while the other blew himself up.

“It appears that the assailants came by foot or were dropped off at the spot. Several hand grenades were discovered in a backpack. “There have been reports of foreign residents being targeted,” he continued.

Meanwhile, a security guard detailed how they prevented the attack on foreigners. “An explosion occurred as two assailants approached on a motorbike. We secured the foreigners, and the cops arrived shortly thereafter. “We go to the export processing zone from here every day,” a security guard told Samaa Television.

Authorities are presently examining the event to determine the motivations behind the attack and any potential collaborators. Following the incident, security measures in the region were increased, with law enforcement authorities on high alert to avoid any additional threats to public safety.
