Three family members killed in M9 Motorway accident after driver falls asleep

M9 Motorway accident

Three members of a family were killed in a tragic collision on the M9 Motorway near Karachi after the driver reportedly fell asleep at the wheel. The family identified as 55-year-old Ashkok, his 50-year-old wife Seeta, and their 22-year-old son Sahil were travelling from Hyderabad to Karachi when their vehicle struck a stationary truck near Nagori Kanta in Gadap City. All three died at the scene. Their other son, Sanjay, sustained serious injuries and was transported to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment.

Motorway police and Rescue 1122 teams responded swiftly to the crash. Investigators believe the driver’s fatigue caused the loss of control that led to the collision. The family were reportedly en route to a wedding in Karachi’s Bahadurabad area, and authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident.
