Security forces killed three terrorists during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Panjgur district of Balochistan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on January 25, 2026. Acting on credible intelligence about the presence of militants linked to the Indian proxy group Fitna-al-Hindustan, troops engaged the target area, resulting in a firefight that left three terrorists dead.
The operation also resulted in the recovery of weapons, ammunition, and explosives from the site. The ISPR reaffirmed that counterterrorism efforts under the “Azm-e-Istehkam” national strategy will continue to eliminate foreign-sponsored terrorism. President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif both praised the security forces for the successful operation and reiterated national support for ongoing operations against terrorism.
