KARACHI, September 27, 2026 — Police have claimed the arrest of two suspects allegedly linked to house robberies in Manghopir, including the case involving the killing of a teenage boy, while the victim’s family continues its sit-in outside the Manghopir police station.
The teenager, Rosham Husain, was shot dead during a house robbery in Manghopir on September 8. His family has continued protesting and has not yet decided to end the sit-in.
Two Suspects Arrested in Manghopir
West SSP Tariq Illahi Mastoi said police arrested two suspects identified as Dilawar alias Tariq and Muhammad Rizwan alias Asif.
According to the police, the suspects were allegedly involved in house robberies in the Manghopir area. Fake police uniforms reportedly used during the crimes were also recovered from them.
Police said one of the victims of a house robbery identified the suspects. They are now being questioned in connection with Rosham Husain’s murder case.
Teenager Was Killed During House Robbery
According to the police statement cited by Dawn, Rosham was shot dead on September 8 during a robbery at a house in Mehran City, Manghopir.
The murder had prompted anger among the victim’s relatives and local residents. The family subsequently began a sit-in outside the Manghopir police station, demanding action against those responsible.
Earlier reporting by Dawn said the 17-year-old was shot after robbers entered his family’s home. The family had refused to bury him until the suspects responsible for his killing were arrested.
Suspects Handed Over for Further Investigation
The two arrested suspects have been handed over to the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of Sindh Police for further investigation into the murder case.
The SSP said Rosham’s father, Roidad Husain, was formally informed about the arrests and the progress of the investigation.
The arrests are being treated by police as part of the ongoing investigation; the allegations against the suspects remain subject to the legal process.

Family Continues Sit-In Outside Police Station
Despite being informed about the arrests, Rosham’s family has not yet called off its protest.
The teenager’s uncle told Dawn that the family had been informed about the arrests but had not made a decision to end the sit-in. He said the family would publicly announce any decision to call off the protest.
The sit-in has remained a focal point of the family’s demand for accountability following the teenager’s killing.
