PTI protest demand accountability

The provincial wing of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in Sindh has strongly denounced the assault on the sisters of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, calling the incident a blatant violation of the constitution, human rights and rule of law.

During a press conference in Karachi, PTI Sindh President Haleem Adil Sheikh said that the women were forcibly dragged and manhandled while visiting their brother in detention. He labelled the act “fascism” and warned of collective action if those responsible aren’t held accountable.

The party also announced a nationwide protest scheduled for Friday, where supporters will rally across the country, wearing black ribbons and demanding redress for what PTI calls state-sponsored injustice.
