Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has reiterated his government’s commitment to eliminating terrorism from Pakistan, emphasising the nation’s unwavering focus on ensuring security and stability. Speaking at a National Workshop in Islamabad, the prime minister highlighted that the government has adopted a comprehensive strategy to address both internal and external security threats, with strong involvement from the Pakistan Armed Forces and support from the public.
In his address, PM Shehbaz described national security as a top priority, stressing that Pakistan is prepared to confront challenges head-on using “hard work, trust and honesty” to achieve a safer and more prosperous future. He praised the sacrifices made by citizens and security personnel in the fight against terrorism, particularly noting the strategic significance of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the contributions of its people in counter-terrorism efforts.
The prime minister also linked security progress to broader socio-economic goals, citing advances in macro-economic stability and plans to boost key sectors such as trade, agriculture and information technology. He reiterated that with national unity and effective strategy, Pakistan can secure the peace and security it deserves within the global community.
