Pakistani Father Arrested Over Alleged Telegram Child Abuse Video Network

Pakistani father arrested over child abuse videos

Pakistan’s National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has arrested a man accused of recording and selling sexually abusive videos involving his own young children through secret Telegram groups. Investigators say the case exposed an alleged international network that traded illegal content using cryptocurrency.

The suspect, who reportedly belongs to Skardu in Gilgit-Baltistan, was arrested in an operation involving international law enforcement cooperation. NCCIA officials announced the development at a press conference in Islamabad on October 25, 2026. The allegations remain subject to investigation and legal proceedings.

Investigation Uncovers Alleged Telegram Network

According to NCCIA Additional Director Muhammad Shoaib Khan, investigators spent approximately a month tracing the network after receiving information about the circulation of child sexual abuse material.

Officials allege that the suspect produced videos involving his children, reported to be around four to five years old, and sold the material through private Telegram groups in exchange for cryptocurrency.

Investigators also identified possible links to Islamabad, Multan and southern Punjab. Authorities are continuing their inquiries to determine the network’s full reach and identify other people allegedly involved in producing or distributing the material.

Digital Evidence Recovered During the Operation

The agency said digital devices seized during the investigation contained material relevant to the case, including suspected abusive videos and evidence of cryptocurrency transactions. Investigators also reported finding material depicting animal abuse.

The recovered devices are being examined as part of the ongoing investigation. Officials have said that further action is being taken to identify and arrest other alleged facilitators connected to the network.

NCCIA Reports Other Child Exploitation Cases

The agency also disclosed a separate investigation involving four suspects allegedly connected to another child exploitation network. According to officials, the suspects allegedly contacted children through Instagram, gained their trust and used financial inducements to exploit them. Around 60 videos were reportedly recovered during that investigation.

In another case, the NCCIA reported arresting a man accused of harassing and blackmailing a minor girl from Karachi over an extended period. Investigators said coordination between regional teams helped locate the suspect in Islamabad.

Authorities Urge Families to Report Online Exploitation

The NCCIA has urged citizens to report cybercrime, protect children from online exploitation and avoid sharing sensitive personal or banking information with unverified contacts. Officials also highlighted the importance of cooperation between families and law enforcement agencies when children face online abuse or blackmail.

The case highlights the challenges authorities face in investigating online exploitation that crosses national borders and involves encrypted communications, private groups and cryptocurrency payments. Investigations are continuing, and the legal process will determine responsibility for the alleged offences.
