The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has announced plans to establish another Mega Centre in Karachi, expanding its network of citizen service facilities to better serve residents across the city. The new centre will be set up in Korangi under a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the NADRA Regional Head Office Karachi and the Town Municipal Corporation Korangi, with the agreement expected to be formalised on January 13, 2026.
The Korangi Mega Centre will feature 30 one-window service counters, with the capacity to handle 2,500 to 3,000 applicants daily, significantly reducing waiting times and travel burdens for citizens seeking identity and registration services. The facility will offer a comprehensive range of NADRA services under one roof, including PakID services, succession certificates, thalassemia testing and arms licence processing, along with dedicated counters for senior citizens and a zonal office on site.
Officials said the centre is expected to benefit nearly four million residents from Korangi, Landhi, Korangi Creek, Shah Faisal Colony, Malir Model Colony, Chakra Goth, Bin Qasim, Steel Town, Ibrahim Hyderi, Qayyumabad and surrounding areas. Authorities emphasised that the new facility will dramatically reduce travel time and waiting periods for citizens by bringing essential NADRA services closer to large population centres in eastern Karachi.
