NADRA(National Database and Registration Authority) Assistant Director was detained for granting Pakistani identification cards to Afghan nationals.
The Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Anti-Human Trafficking Circle in Karachi carried out the operation that resulted in the arrest of the person.
According to the FIA spokeswoman, the arrested individual, Nadeem Ali, an assistant director at NARDA, worked with colleagues to unlawfully issue these identity cards.
The arrested official was working at the NADRA office at Hospital Chowrangi in Karachi. While the prime suspect has been caught, the FIA is conducting additional operations to catch other persons participating in the illicit activity.
According to FIA sources, the probe is nearing completion, with more culpable NADRA personnel already identified. – Supernews
