On Friday afternoon, the city of Karachi felt minor earthquake tremors, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD). The seismic event occurred at 3:39 p.m., registering a magnitude of 2.2 on the Richter scale and originating at a depth of 10 kilometres.
The epicentre was pinpointed roughly 24 kilometres north of the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) area, near coordinates 24.90° N and 67.62° E. Fortunately, officials reported no damage or injuries related to the tremor.
