Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has announced he will travel to Karachi on January 9 to convey Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Imran Khan’s message and energise party supporters in Sindh. Afridi shared the scheduled visit on social media, asking Karachi residents if they were “ready” ahead of the planned engagements. The announcement follows his recent three-day visit to Lahore in support of PTI’s street movement, where heavy security restricted his public address. During that trip, Afridi faced obstacles from local authorities and later criticised the Punjab government for its security measures. The upcoming Sindh visit is expected to involve meetings with PTI workers and leaders as the party seeks to strengthen its mobilisation efforts nationwide.
