In Karachi’s Garden district, the Karachi Police apprehended two suspects, identified as Abid Abbas and Mir Kamran Sudhani, following an alleged robbery of Rs 7.5 lakh from a trader.
The suspects were injured in a gun-battle with the police, during which weapons and a motorcycle used in the crime were seized.
Police officials stated that the duo’s gang had been linked to multiple robberies in which victims were followed after withdrawing cash from banks, and that surveillance footage had recorded the suspects conducting reconnaissance via a female associate.
A formal case has been registered against them and investigations are ongoing to determine their connections to other crimes in Karachi and Punjab.
