Operation Conducted on Main Korangi Road
Assistant Commissioner Javeria Ashraf led the operation following directives from Karachi Commissioner Syed Hassan Naqvi. The action focused on encroachments located in front of Defence Mall along Korangi Road.
Officials said the tanker parking and roadside stalls had been creating repeated traffic problems in the area.
Anti-Encroachment Teams Take Part
The operation was carried out with the participation of the Anti-Encroachment Department, the Anti-Encroachment Wing of the Town Municipal Administration and police personnel.
The combined operation resulted in the removal of tankers, pushcarts and roadside stalls occupying areas along the busy road.
Commissioner Orders Continuous Monitoring
Commissioner Karachi Syed Hassan Naqvi personally supervised the operation and instructed the Assistant Commissioner to continue monitoring the area.
Officials were directed to take measures to prevent the removed encroachments from returning and to maintain a smooth flow of traffic on Main Korangi Road.
Karachi Steps Up Anti-Encroachment Measures
The latest operation comes as Karachi’s administration continues its wider campaign against roadside encroachments. Earlier this month, city authorities discussed strengthening anti-
encroachment departments and preventing removed encroachments from reappearing.
