Karachi police have apprehended two men accused of sexually abusing multiple children in the city’s Tipu Sultan area, authorities confirmed on January 17, 2026. The suspects, identified as Imran and Waqas, were taken into custody by the District East Investigation Wing following inquiries into complaints filed between 2020 and 2025. Officials reported that seven separate cases had been registered against them over this period. Forensic analysis from the Sindh lab indicated that DNA evidence matched a single individual across several cases, aiding the investigation.
Investigators allege that Imran lured children and transported them on a motorcycle to secluded locations, where abuse took place. After a 10-day operation and multiple witness statements, police arrested Imran and his accomplice. A local magistrate remanded the suspects to police custody for three days as the probe continues. Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah praised the arrests and emphasised that crimes against children would be met with strict legal action, directing the police to intensify efforts to identify additional victims.
