Karachi collects Rs25 million in fines after launch of e-Challan system

Karachi e-Challan fines 2025

Karachi Police announced that since the launch of the city’s cashless e‑Challan system, they have collected around Rs 25 million in fines.

As per a briefing reviewed by Ghulam Nabi Memon (IG Sindh) and the DIG Traffic, approximately 4,000 challans contributed to the total — and over 23,000 citizens visited facilitation centres to address their e-challans.

The update comes as the authorities plan the next phase: targeting parking violations using advanced enforcement tools including cameras, scanners, and drones mounted on traffic-police vehicles.

Officials argue the digital system has significantly reduced delays, improved compliance with traffic laws, and is expected to be rolled out across additional cities in the province under the new Motor Vehicle Act, 1965.
