Mohsin Naqvi, Pakistan’s Interior Minister, has reiterated his country’s formal request to the United Kingdom for the extradition of Shahzad Akbar and Adil Raja during his visit to London.
Pakistani authorities handed over a detailed dossier to British officials, claiming the two individuals are wanted in Pakistan on charges related to alleged “anti-state propaganda.”
The meeting took place at the UK Home Office and was attended by Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the UK, Dr Mohammad Faisal, as part of broader discussions on bilateral security cooperation, repatriation of Pakistanis residing illegally in the UK, and legal collaboration.
Interior Minister Naqvi emphasized that while criticism is tolerated under freedom of expression, Pakistan will not allow the spread of what it considers false information or propaganda targeting state institutions from abroad.
