Silver Rate in Pakistan

The silver market remained comparatively stable. The price of silver was reported at Rs7,100 per tola, while 10 grams of silver stood at Rs6,087.

Daily rates can vary between reporting times and individual jewellery markets, so buyers should confirm the current rate with their local Sarafa market or jeweller before making a purchase.

International Gold Prices Affect Local Rates

International gold prices also influenced the movement in Pakistan’s bullion market. The international price was reported at around $4,350 per ounce, down $27 from the previous level.

Gold prices in Pakistan are affected by international bullion prices as well as movements in the Pakistani rupee against the US dollar. Local market conditions can also influence the final retail price.

Gold Prices in Major Pakistani Cities

Gold rates generally follow a common national benchmark across major markets, including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Peshawar. However, individual jewellers may charge different prices because of local market conditions, making charges and other costs.

Some market data for September 22 lists the national 24-karat rate at Rs453,300 per tola, illustrating that published rates can differ depending on the source and timing of the update.

Gold Market Remains Sensitive to Global Trends

Gold prices can change quickly as international bullion markets move. Global demand, currency movements and broader market conditions can all affect the price quoted in Pakistan.

For consumers purchasing jewellery, the final amount may also include making charges and other retailer-specific costs, meaning the headline bullion rate may not equal the final purchase price.
