The FIA has dismissed recent circulating rumours claiming that batches of passengers are being arbitrarily offloaded from flights at Lahore Airport.
According to the agency’s Lahore Zone Director, Capt. (retd) Ali Zia, travellers with valid and complete documentation are not being stopped — only those with incomplete or suspicious papers are subject to scrutiny.
FIA said that the misinformation circulating on social media has caused unnecessary panic among passengers. The agency clarified that it intervenes only when there is credible suspicion, such as forged or incomplete documentation or links to human-trafficking networks.
Relevant authorities reiterated that immigration checks remain standard procedure — and legal passengers travelling abroad should not be worried.
