Double-decker buses destined for Karachi have arrived at the port and are set to begin operations soon, the Sindh government announced. Senior Minister Shahjeel Memon, who also oversees the transport department, confirmed that the buses will be deployed across the city to improve public transport services.
This delivery follows earlier plans to introduce not only double-decker buses but also electric buses and an EV taxi service by year-end, aiming to expand the People’s Bus Service network and enhance urban mobility. An additional 500 buses are scheduled to be added during the current financial year, with new routes planned across other districts.
