Chief Minister pays homage to martyrs of the Karachi Police

Justice (Rtd) Maqbool Baqir, the Provincial Caretaker Chief Minister, paid emotional homage on Saturday to the courageous individuals killed in the sad Karachi Police Office assault.

Reflecting on the tragic event of the attack’s first anniversary, the interim CM emphasized the ongoing memory of our dead heroes. He emphasized the invaluable value of these sacrifices, citing their unflinching fortitude in facing and overcoming terrorism.

Justice (Rtd) Maqbool Baqir expressed unflinching faith in law enforcement agencies’ abilities, recognizing their critical role in ridding the country of terrorism and laying the road for its growth and prosperity. It is worth noting that on February 17th, 2023, the Karachi Police Office was attacked by terrorists, resulting in the deaths of five officers, as well as injuries to 18 Rangers and Police personnel and one Edhi volunteer.

Following the terrorist attack, a coordinated operation was initiated to clear the police office building, resulting in the killing of three terrorists. Senior police officers bravely engaged the attack on the front lines, resulting in the deaths of five officials: Rangers Inspector Taimur, Police Head Constable Ghulam Abbas, Head Constable Abdul Latif, Constable Saeed, and Sanitary Worker Ajmal Masih.
