A court in Karachi overturned the case against Afaq Ahmed, chairman of the Mohajir Qaumi Movement–Haqiqi (MQM-H), granting him acquittal.
The verdict comes after prolonged legal proceedings and multiple charges had been levelled against Ahmed.
The decision is expected to bolster his political standing and rally support from his party’s workers in Karachi.
