KARACHI: A juvenile child was transported to the hospital after receiving injuries from a loose kite string while riding a motorcycle with his father in Karachi’s Nazimabad district.
According to reports, the number of persons hurt by kite strings is also on the rise in Karachi; this time, two and a half-year-old Abdul Bari was injured by a kite string in Nazimabad.
The victim was riding a bike with his father to the site area when a wayward kite string wounded his face and lips; nonetheless, the child’s health is stable.
Earlier, a 20-year-old man was hospitalized after sustaining significant injuries as a result of a loose kite string in Karachi’s Azizabad district.
According to a police statement, the 20-year-old guy, named as Awais, was riding a motorcycle when he got entangled by kite string in Azizabad.
The police said he was taken to a hospital, where his condition was believed to be stable.
The tragedy comes after the Punjab police intensified their crackdown on kite flying across the province following the murder of a young man in Faisalabad in a similar event.
The instances caused Punjab Chief Minister (PM) Maryam Nawaz to impose a ban on the production, sale, and purchase of chemicals used for this purpose.
