Best Ramadan 2024 Duas To Recite

Ramadan 2024

As we embrace the spirit of Ramadan, we start with hearts full of appreciation to Allah for providing us the opportunity to experience the deep month. It is a period of profound prayer, extensive Quran recitation, numerous supplications, and passionate charity.

One of the lovely characteristics of Ramadan is,

Abu Hurairah said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “When Ramadan comes, the gates of Paradise are opened and the gates of Hell are closed, and the devils are chained up.”  [Sahih Bukhari, 1898; Muslim, 1079]

To help you make the most of these wonderful days and nights, we’ve produced a collection of duas to say during Ramadan.

We recommend that you print or save the Dua list for quick access. This allows you to smoothly integrate the recitation into your regular routine during the holy month.

Dua for reaching Ramadan

Transliteration: Allahumma Ballighna Ramadan

Meaning: Oh Allah, let us reach Ramadan.

Transliteration: Allahumma sallimni ila Ramadan wa sallim li Ramadan wa tasallamhu minni mutaqabbala

Meaning: O Allah! Preserve me until Ramadan, safeguard Ramadan for me, and accept it from me (receive my deeds with acceptance).

Ramadan 2024 Fasting Dua

There are no special duas to say during Suhoor or whilst fasting. However, you must have the appropriate purpose before reciting the daily duas, which include the morning and evening Azkar.

Some of the duas are:

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْهَمِّ وَالْحَزَنِ، وَالْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ، وَالْبُخْلِ وَالْجُبْنِ، وَضَلَعِ الدَّيْنِ، وَغَلَبَةِ الرِّجَالِ

Transliteration: Allahumma inni ‘audhubika min al-hammi wal hazani, wal ‘ajzi wal kasali, wal bukhli wal jubni, wa dala’ad-dayni, wa ghalabatir-rijâl.

Meaning: O Allah, I take refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow, weakness and laziness, miserliness and cowardice, the burden of debts and from being overpowered by men.

Transliteration: Allahumma inni as-aluka‘ilman nafi’an wa rizqan tayyiban wa ‘amalan matqaballan

Meaning: O Allah, I ask You for knowledge which is beneficial and sustenance which is good, and deeds which are acceptable.

Dua to break your fast during Ramadan

As Iftar approaches, hunger and tiredness reach their pinnacle. This is the critical time for a fasting individual to focus and offer earnest supplications. This is because the dua made at this time is thought to be acceptable. The hadith below discusses this in detail:

Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah () said:

“There are three whose supplication is not rejected: The fasting person when he breaks his fast, the just ruler, and the supplication of the oppressed person…” [Narrated by At-Tirmidhi, 2525]

When breaking the fast, it is recommended to recite what was narrated by ‘Abd-Allaah ibn ‘Umar (may Allaah be pleased with him) who said that when the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) broke his fast, he would say,

Transliteration: Dhahabaz zama’u wabtalatal urooq wa thabatal ajr in sha Allah.

Meaning: Thirst is gone, the veins are moistened, and the reward is certain if Allah wills. [Abu Dawud]

Take use of these moments to make your most genuine duas, knowing that they will be heard and given, inshallah.

Dua for the last ten nights of Ramadan

The last ten nights of Ramadan are the most important nights of the year because they signal the arrival of the most auspicious night, Layla tul Qadr. During this period, our beloved Prophet Pbuh works hard in worship, engaging in night prayers and Itikaf.

“Seek Laylat al-Qadr in the last ten days of Ramadan.” [Bukhari and Muslim]

Allah says in Surah Al Qadr, verse 3, that this blessed night is better than a thousand months. On this night, muslims should strive hard in nightly prayers, immense supplications, and engage in the recitation of the Quran.

Meaning: Oh Allah, accept our prayers(salat), our fasting, our standing in worship, our bowing, and our prostration.

The Importance of Dua during Ramadan 2024

Dua has the capacity to alter one’s life and bring them closer to Allah. It is a direct discussion with your Creator in which one shares their innermost aspirations and ambitions.

Inshallah, it is the bridge that will lead to the fulfillment of your requests. What better way to intensify your duas than to recite them during the holy month of Ramadan, when the doors of compassion are open for us?

Allah says in the Quran,

Transliteration: Wa idha sa’alaka ‘ibadi ‘anni fa’inni qareeb. Ujeebu da’wathad da’ee idha da’aan. Fal yasthajeebu’li wal yu’minu bi la’alahum yar shudun

Meaning: When My servants ask you ‘O Prophet’ about Me: I am truly near. I respond to one’s prayer when they call upon Me. So let them respond ‘with obedience’ to Me and believe in Me, perhaps they will be guided ‘to the Right Way’. [Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:186]

This passage means that no matter how close or far away you are from Allah, you may always ask Him and He would reply.
