Balochistan Pakistan: The United Nations on Thursday dismissed a reported declaration of independence by Baloch separatists from Pakistan, reaffirming its commitment to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all member states, including Pakistan.
Responding to a question from a Kurdish TV reporter during a regular press briefing in New York, UN Deputy Spokesperson Farhan Haq stated, “We just refer you back to the UN Charter, including the fact that the Charter upholds the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all states, and that would include Pakistan.”
