Amid widespread reports that United Arab Emirates (UAE) has suspended visas for Pakistani citizens, its Consul General in Karachi, Bakheet Ateeq Alremeithi, has rejected the claims as “completely fabricated.”
He confirmed that all visa categories remain open and the consulate is currently handling a record surge in applications — the highest in three years. While certain visa types now require advance appointments due to demand, the consulate’s facilities, including the visa-processing centre in Karachi, remain fully operational.
The consul general also affirmed that services for medical travel, education, business and family-related visas are continuing without interruption, urging the public to disregard misleading reports.
