LOS ANGELES, September 22, 2026 — Dancing With the Stars Season 35 returned for its second week of competition with “Viral Hits Night,” bringing 14 remaining celebrity-pro couples to the ballroom for routines inspired by songs and moments that became popular online.
The episode marked the third installment of the season following the two-night premiere, which saw Conner Leavitt and Sarah Jane Nader eliminated.
Jenna Dewan Leads With 21 Points
Jenna Dewan and professional partner Val Chmerkovskiy opened the show with a jive to KATSEYE’s “Animal.” The pair received 7 points from each of the three judges for a total of 21 out of 30.
Ciara Miller and Brandon Armstrong followed with a tango and collected 18 points, while Tyler Cameron and Sharna Burgess scored 16 points for their salsa. Julia Stiles and Ezra Sosa also finished with 16 points for their tango.
Viral Hits Night Features Popular Songs
The episode featured a wide range of music connected to viral moments and social media trends. Tatyana Ali performed a foxtrot to Billie Eilish’s “What Was I Made For?”, while Harry Shum Jr. and Jenna Johnson took on a Viennese waltz to the Goo Goo Dolls’ “Iris.”
Other performances included Maura Higgins and Mark Ballas dancing the cha-cha to “September” by Earth, Wind & Fire, Ezra Frech and Daniella Karagach performing a cha-cha to “Low” by Flo Rida, and Giada De Laurentiis and Alan Bersten dancing salsa to “Bella Ciao.”
Fourteen Couples Remain in the Competition
Following the two eliminations during premiere week, the 14 remaining couples competed together for the first time this season. The lineup includes Tatyana Ali, Tyler Cameron, Giada De Laurentiis, Jenna Dewan, Ezra Frech, Amber Glenn, Taylor Hanson, Maura Higgins, Ciara Miller, Jackson Olson, Guillermo Rodriguez, Harry Shum Jr., Julia Stiles and Connor Wood.
Each couple’s final result is determined using a combination of judges’ scores and viewer votes, with live voting taking place during the broadcast.
Competition Moves Into the Next Week
With Viral Hits Night completing the second week of competition, the remaining celebrities continue their pursuit of the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy.
Season 35 airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC and Disney+, with episodes available on Hulu the following day.
