Rohit Shetty has officially confirmed the much-awaited Golmaal 5, ending months of speculation surrounding the next installment of the popular comedy franchise. The filmmaker made the announcement on September 19, unveiling a new motion poster featuring members of the franchise’s familiar cast.
The announcement also confirmed that Golmaal 5 will arrive in cinemas on January 8, 2027. The film marks the return of the franchise nine years after Golmaal Again, which was released in 2017.
Rohit Shetty Shares Whistle-Worthy Motion Poster
Rohit Shetty shared the motion poster on Instagram, accompanied by the franchise’s recognizable whistle tune. The announcement highlighted the themes of laughter, fun, happiness and family that have become closely associated with the Golmaal series.
The motion poster features Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor and other members of the returning cast. The film is being directed by Rohit Shetty.
Golmaal 5 Release Date Confirmed
After several reports and speculation about the movie’s release schedule, the makers have now locked January 8, 2027 as the theatrical release date. Bollywood Hungama’s film listing also confirms the same date.
The January release will make Golmaal 5 different from several previous entries in the franchise, including Golmaal Returns, Golmaal 3 and Golmaal Again, which were released around Diwali.
Star-Studded Cast Returns
The latest cast information lists several familiar faces from the franchise, including Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Sharman Joshi, Kunal Kemmu and Shreyas Talpade. Priyamani, Johny Lever, Sanjay Mishra and Mukesh Tiwari are also listed among the cast.
With the release date now official and the motion poster out, Golmaal 5 is set to bring Rohit Shetty’s popular comedy franchise back to cinemas in January 2027.
